Actress-host Valerie Concepcion is excited with her upcoming television series, "Pat is Tin."

Concepcion will play the role of Patricia "Pat" Zapanta, an overweight woman whose soul gets trapped inside the body of a sexy lady named Kristine "Tin" Alfonso (Cai Cortez).

"I think the story has many twists. This will be fun and it's gonna be hard because i need to mimic her(Cortez)she acts and the way she talks. That's the challenge." Concepcion said.

Concepcion said this is the first time that she met newbie actress Cortez so they still need to spend some "bonding" time together.

The “Wowowee” host said she hopes her fans will support her latest project.

The other cast of the upcoming series are Carmi Martin, K Brosas, Wendy Valdez, Roldan Aquino, Andre Garcia and Jon Avila. (ABS-CBNNEWS.COM)

Angel Locsin's Journey to the 37th International Emmy Awards

ANGEL LOCSIN PROVED TO THE WORLD THAT SHE'S STILL PHILIPPINE ENTERTAINMENT'S MOST BEAUTIFUL ACTRESS TO DATE.

The Verdict

Though Angel Locsin did not win the Best Actress trophy in the recently concluded 37th International Emmy Awards (held in Hilton, New York on November 24, 2009), her nomination alone made the Filipinos proud. She lost to UK veteran actress

She was nominated for her exemplary performance as Lyka (the she-wolf) in the outsatndingly produced ABS-CBN tv series "Lobo" (the Wolf). She eventually lost to veteran actress Julie Walters (Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter series) for her outstanding performance as Dr. Anne Turner in "A Short Stay in Switzerland".

The Controversial Gown
Angel Locsin revealed that the gown she wore on the red carpet was a creation by Michael Cinco . "My gown weighs six kilos. Actually it's been hold by the customs because it has Swarovski's in it. But I also have a business suit by Ivar Aseron and Rajo Laurel made my cocktail dress." The gown reportedly costs PhP1 Million (US$22000).

Something Filipinos should be proud of
Angel's nomination marks the second time that a Filipina was nominated for the category Best Performance for an Actress. Tessie Tomas was also nominated for her role as Imelda Marcos in the 1989 film A Dangerous Life.

Being recognized internationally is really something to look up to.

Katrina Kaif (Hindi: कत्रिना कैफ़) (born Katrina Turquotte on 16 July 1984) is an Indian actress and model who has appeared in Bollywood, Telugu and Malayalam films.

Interesting Facts and Gossips About Katrina Kaif:

Kaif was born in Hong Kong to a Kashmiri father,Mohammed Kaif, and a British mother, Suzzane Turquotte. Her mother, a Harvard graduate, was a lawyer but later became involved in charity work. Her parents separated when Kaif was very young. Kaif has seven siblings. She was raised in Hawaii and later moved to her mother's home country, England.
At age fourteen she was approached by an agent and began modeling; her first job was for a jewelry campaign. She continued modeling in London, under a contract with the Models 1 Agency and did campaigns for houses, such as La Senza and Arcadius and even walked on the London Fashion Week.
Kaif's London modeling work led to her discovery by London-based filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom (2003). She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were initially hesitant to sign her because she could not speak Hindi.
Kaif saw success with the 2005 film Sarkar where she played the bit part of Abhishek Bachchan's girlfriend. Her next release, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), where she was paired opposite Salman Khan, earned her the Stardust Breakthrough Performance Award.
Kaif's first release for 2009, New York, with John Abraham was a critical and commercial success. Kaif's performance was highly appreciated with critic Taran Adarsh writing, "Katrina gives you the biggest surprise. Known for her glamour roles, Katrina proves that she can deliver if the director and writer offer her a role of substance. She's outstanding. In fact, people will see a new, different Katrina this time."
Kaif was voted Asia's Sexiest woman in 2008 by the UK-based publication Eastern Eye.

Marian Rivera (born Marian Gracia Rivera on August 12, 1984 in Madrid, Spain) is a Filipina actress, commercial model and occasional singer. Her first TV role came in 2005 via TAPE Inc.'s afternoon drama, Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako in the lead that was aired in GMA Network. However, her breakout role did not come until 2007 when she was cast for the title role in the Philippine remake of MariMar.

In 2006, Rivera signed a contract for Regal Films that she was cast in the horror movie, Pamahiin along with Dennis Trillo and Iya Villania. Rivera also starred in two MMFF movie entries such as Bahay Kubo and Desperadas. In 2008, Rivera's starred her first leading lady movie with Richard Gutierrez in the romantic-comedy My Best Friend's Girlfriend.

Marian recently filmed a movie with Dingdong Dantes and her Desperadas co-star Iza Calzado, One True Love.

In 2009 she then, played the role of "Nieves" The Engkanto Slayer in her title episode of Shake, Rattle & Roll X, an MMFF entry, where she received praises due to her comedic timing. Also, she worked with singer and songwriter Ogie Alcasid along with Desperadas main stars, in the second movie of Desperadas". Rivera is slated to star in the following movies of Regal Films: Tarot (August 26, 2009) opposite Dennis Trillo; The Other Man, alongside Carla Abellana; Nieves: The Engkanto Slayer for the MMFF 2009.
